Mini Reunion

I can't believe it's coming up on 14 years since Joyce, Judy and I were taking Japanese classes at UCI together. Eek. After a long hiatus we met up for lunch at Lilly's in Venice for a nice little reunion. It was so much fun catching up! Ok Joyce and Judy, now that you're checking this out, you can catch up on my life for the last couple of years (if you're that bored!) and see what a major nerd I am! :)

C & N's Wedding

Steve and I went to a coworker's wedding last weekend. The setting was in the beautiful hillsides of Laguna Beach. Had to get a couple's shot in there!

Here we are with more teachers and spouses, and the bride Christina and groom Nolan. It was a lovely wedding.

Sammy "Grooves"

In this video extraordinaire (double-click on the above image), you will witness some slam-dancing, break-dancing, interpretive dance... seriously though, this is his "dancing". Well, all I can say is, he's a little rhythmically challenged, but he's got a style all his own.

Anna's Hawaiian Party

It was a lovely day for Anna's Hawaiian birthday party. She said she would like to go to Hawaii someday, well, we set up the 50 foot backdrop (look at the palm trees) to make her feel like she was there.

One activity included digging for shells, here are the kids patiently waiting with their pails to grab them!

We had pizza, plus Hawaiian side dishes like chicken salad, saimin, and bacon fried rice. Yum!

Had to get a sister shot in there! Love Mari's dress (she made it)!

I love this look she had when we sang Happy Birthday to her, a mixture of embarassment and happiness. Such a lovely cake made by Yumi!

If anyone else has photos (Mama!) please send them my way, I want to post more! Thanks for everyone who attended! Thanks to Erica's dad who emailed us the first two photos!

Last Sunday we went to Erica's birthday party, at Boomers. Naomi, Erica and Anna haven't seen each other since last year, they were classmates in preschool and now they all attend different elementary schools.

The girls went on rides that were not in operation that day before they went on, in other words, Anna didn't see how this innocent-looking tugboat swung way back and forth, and turned round and round like crazy. I wouldn't have gone on it if I saw how this Rockin' Tug moved beforehand. She screamed and giggled with the rest of the girls.

This Frog Hopper sure elicited more screams and yelps. Now I think Anna's ready for Big Thunder or the Matterhorn at Disneyland, I think...
