Happy 9th Anniversary!

We have been so busy lately with school and kids... and I haven't been able to blog as much as I'd like, even though I have lots of photos to share! But this past Sunday Steve and I were able to steal away for a few hours to Disneyland while my mom babysat the kids. This is how we chose to celebrate our 9th anniversary. The last time we went to Disneyland, just the two of us, was more than 2 years ago.
Steve and I had a lot of fun on this new ride, Buzz Lightyear, where you shoot at targets using these laser guns. Note the score... hee hee...
Happy Anniversary Stevie!

Crawler

Sammy has become an adept crawler, usually scootching along like a worm but every so often showing how he can get up on his hands and knees.

"Awwww... enough already Mom!"

Mosaic

To commemorate Disneyland's 50th anniversary, park fans were asked to submit photos online for these huge mosaics that are featured throughout Disneyland and California Adventure. Anna's thumbprint-size photos are featured in a few of these mosaics, including this one of Jessie! Anna is kneeling near her tiny photo which you can only see up close.

Can you see Anna, in the top-center area, in the photo with Flik?

Strolling

We received this Graco stroller from some church friends who have since upgraded to a side-by-side stroller for their two boys. This stroller has been surprisingly handy on outings where Anna also wants to relax. She's probably too big for it, but now she sits in the front with the tray off (where she has more head and leg space), and Sam lounges in the back.

Can you see the tooth?

I know I had a similiar photo like this one up a couple of weeks ago but in this shot Sammy is (a) fascinated by Yumi's watch and (b) really showing his first tooth, bottom left one. His bottom right is also sprouting, which causes for a lot of discomfort and numerous wakings and tears during the night. He likes blankets and cold baby food and lots of distraction by Anna to get through the pain.

"Camping"

It was a blur of events at the end of the summer, Steve was on a jury for a court case, I was on jury duty but they picked their 12 plus alternates before I was grilled as candidate, then there was the wedding, now school is starting up for all of us... in between scheduled events we did little family things here and there, including camping out in our friends' backyard. "Camping" included bbq'd burgers and smores cooked over their firepit. In this photo we are sitting fireside.

Final Wedding Photos!

Here is bride Aileen with her parents and her younger brother Brian, taking a photo in the hotel lobby. Beautiful!

We are also in the lobby taking some candids. Is Anna too cute or what?! Isn't the flower arrangement lovely? Also the bridesmaids received these necklaces and earrings that we wore for the wedding from the bride and groom.

This is the head table during the reception. Note that in all the photos which show the bridesmaids that I was the only one who didn't know how to wear the shawl/sheath.

Too cute yet again, I call their relationship "summer love"... Jacob and Anna saw each other quite a bit during wedding preparations... now they are both starting up preschool, new friends, new beginnings... we do plan on getting together with Jacob's family soon, we all bonded during the wedding festivities.

The cake was a strawberry shortcake type filling. It had a crystal glass topper with dolphins, going along with the ocean theme.
That's it! Hope you enjoyed the three-day wedding montage!
