Halloween 2012

This year Anna's friend Sabrina came over to trick-or-treat in our neighborhood like last year. The girls, along with Sam, only had to go for a few blocks to satiate their candy fix, then they handed out candy to other costumed kids.

Winning and Waffles

After Anna's cross country meet in Chino, where her team placed first, we went to Bruxie's for waffles. Anna had the cheesecake waffle while I had the chicken. A delicious way to celebrate the day!

Tanaka Farms

Here's photos from our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. Out of all the gigantic pumpkins, the kids just gravitate towards the tiny cute ones.

Halloween Parade

Our school had a Halloween Parade during the day. The teachers from my grade level dressed as peacocks. Steve brought the kids to the carnival after school. Fun, full day!

Why I've been so busy...

The blogging has been less constant recently, it's because I started working full-time once again, at a new school, 4/5 combo with 34 kids. Extremely busy... but I'm truly enjoying my job! I love the staff and the students. Here we are, after my students performed in the Friday Flag Ceremony. They chose to sing Neil Diamond's "America", great choice! Although the actual performance was not as grandiose as the rehearsals in our (safe haven) classroom, they still did an excellent job!

Cross Country Season

Anna's cross country meets are enjoyable for many reasons beyond watching her compete in races. I especially enjoy the course walks prior to the races, where the teammates and spectators can walk along the paths where the runners will be competing later on. This meet at Pierce College in Woodland Hills was especially scenic, and Anna and her team did an excellent job!
