Tim Gunn

Last week Mari and I went to Barnes and Noble at Fashion Island to hear Tim Gunn (of Bravo's Project Runway) and Kate Moloney talk about their new fashion book, A Guide to Quality, Taste and Style. Check out Mari's April 26th entry here (scroll down a little) for more details!

Pizza Gourmet

Mari and Rob came over on Saturday and treated us to some homemade pizzas... the dough was made the day before, and they brought over gourmet toppings... fresh mozzarella and burrata cheeses, romano, basil, etc... Mama and Yumi brought pepperoni from a deli, yum! Can you tell Rob used to make pizzas for a living?

Here's Mari with her favorite, basil and garlic and romano... don't eat it all, Mina! We got to sample six different pizzas, it was all way too good to describe. Anyway, let's just say it's going to be hard going back to Pizza Hut.

Easter Party

Here are some of the kids from a recent Easter party we went to, Anna was one of the older kids, that's becoming more common at get-togethers...

Sam was the tired, clingy "baby" of the group.

Irvine Park

Last week we met up with Tasha and Reyn at Irvine Park, they have a train, pony rides, a small zoo... lots of things to do!

Howard led Anna on her pony while I kept Sam occupied.

Sam was there, looking wistfully at the ponies. He was old enough to ride one, but perhaps he'll really be ready in another year or so.

Easter 2007

Anna all happy in a pretty spring dress with treats in hand...

Sammy was sick, so no fancy pants (or shirt) on him...

Happy Easter nonetheless!

Daddy's Girl

Showing off a ladybug she found in the front yard...

Writing to Steve: You need a lesson
after hearing "I hit him (Sam)"...
In reality Steve said "I hid them," referring to the plastic teddy bears Sam tried to ingest...

Smiling after Brookie's birthday party.

Enjoying a nice surprise from Marilyn and Ted in the backyard.

"Picnic" at the Park

Last weekend we went to the Huntington Beach Library park and Anna was super excited to pack up a picnic of snacks: yogurt drinks, chips, box juices, crackers... enough for a small army. She couldn't wait to get to the park just to start munching.
(It was cute seeing Anna use her binoculars to look at someone 20 feet away, kids can get away with things like that.)

Sam liked exploring near the "shoreline", a little too close to the water but fortunately he stayed out of it.

Look how porcelain Sam's skin is. Reminds me to keep up on the sunscreen!
