I love our local zoo, the Santa Ana Zoo, it's small and popular, yet never feels too crowded. Anna and Sam enjoy it too, we'd take them there often when they were younger. Right now my favorite animal there is the anteater. :)

We went to an Angel/Giants game in Anaheim, and thanks to Steve's coworker we were able to sit in season-ticket seats. There were definitely a good amount of Giants fans in the stands, and Steve and Anna wore their SF team t-shirts. I really like this stadium because it's clean, close to home, and has tasty eats including yummy garlic fries. Each time an Angel hits a home run, fireworks are shot into the sky. Needless to say, we saw many fireworks that night as the Angels won. It was a very entertaining night!

Carter participated in a volleyball tournament for junior boys at the Anaheim Convention Center, and we were fortunate to be able to attend. Dozens and dozens of teams were competing in this huge event. It was great watching Carter with his power serve, and playing at the net. It was exciting sitting as a spectator knowing a stray ball can come your way at any moment! On the second day of the tournament we took a break and went to Downtown Disney for dinner. It was great spending time with Carter, Christie and Bob!

I took Anna and Sam to the "Nature Area" of Mile Square Park, another little hidden oasis that is beautifully landscaped with meandering paths here and there. With these little outings it's nice to have a snack packed. Then they find the energy to walk ahead and play their imaginary games.
