Reyn's Birthday

Reyn's 4th birthday party was held at what Steve has coined the "Beallagio". That's their hotel... I mean home, in the background.


Everyone had lots of fun in the pool, especially Tasha and Anna.


Sam enjoyed using the fun-noodle.


The party had a Star Wars theme, and the Darth Vader cakes were delicious.


Bethany took a photo of us in front of the house before we left, Sam had just received his Star Wars party favor and didn't want anyone taking it from him. Otherwise this could have been a good Christmas card contender.

Disney Summer

We own Disneyland passes, but the less-expensive ones, which means there are blackout dates pretty much all summer, until last week. So we've gone on a couple short trips, two or so hours at a time, this day we went on the Jungle Cruise (the kids loved it, corny jokes and all).


We also rode on the train which takes us all the way around the park. So relaxing and fascinating.


We took breaks here and there, but Sam surprisingly did a lot of walking.


My first thought when I saw this picture: look how tall the kids are.

Bowling for Fun

Summer is winding down and there's some blog entries to catch up on... the family went bowling a couple of weeks ago. It was Sam's first time to hold a bowling ball and roll it down the lane. So slowly it rolled... that an attendant had to come by and clear it from its path.


Sam enjoyed the snacks more than the game. But hey, he got the shoes on!

Home Bodies

It's fun to stay at home too, and take the tortoises Skipper and Muta out in the backyard so they can stretch out...


Sometimes Muta was moving about as fast as a hare, she loved scurrying across the grass.


Sticker time at home is fun too, especially when the stickers are personalized with your own name (thanks Marilyn)!

HB Day

It was a gorgeous day at the beach. Sam stayed on the sand.


Anna loved being in the water.


Sometimes the two of them would meet up and play together.


It was a relaxing time.

"How to be a Marilyn-aire" Party

We celebrated Marilyn's birthday on August 8th. The family gathered at Mark and Kim's for this special event. Here's Steve with his parents.

Breakfast Fun

Today we had the Rogers over for breakfast, we took some candids out in the back. I love how Anna and Ian look in this photo.


Sammy was quite smitten by friendly Jilly.

Sam's preschool brought in ponies for the day, we doubted he would even go on one, much less get dressed up in chaps for photos.
