Poor little dude is teething, he's drooling constantly and just gnaws on his hands. I let him chew on my thumb and his bite is strong! My thumb is sore! I'm surprised his hands aren't all bruised. For how much pain he's probably in he still manages to give the sweetest smiles.

Doesn't this bucket of popcorn look like it was purchased from the theater? Actually it's from Blockbuster Video. This kettle corn flavor is tasty, as evidenced by the picture. It's a little sweet and a little salty (the popcorn, that is).

Anna made this little "flower cake" from our front yard flowers, some were fallen, others she picked. The following day it was gone, the gardeners had tilled the soil, she was almost devasted. But I told her hummingbirds were hungry and ate it up, and they were so grateful. Anna was then so happy she made another one.

When this chair went on sale at one of our favorite stores Steve snapped it up. We really enjoy going to Ikea as a family. It was our first family outing with Sam, we had breakfast there that day, I think it was $1.99 for a full plate of food which included eggs and bacon and potatoes with some green and red peppers. Yum!

Yesterday when Steve came home from work Anna told him, "Outside I saw a bumblebee and two butterflies. They were so beautiful I didn't want to close my eyes." Ah, the prose. Coming from someone barely 4 years old. So blogworthy.

This is Snowbear, named after Ojo's bear on Bear and the Big Blue House. Snowbear travels everywhere Anna goes, even to school in her lunchbox. He is worn and well-loved, she has shown him on school sharing days on at least three occasions.
The photo was taken at Bubba Gump's seafood restaurant, across the way from the aquarium. I recommend the calamari, light and flavorful!

Yesterday we went to the Long Beach Aquarium, Anna loved looking at the jellyfish and touching starfish and Sam liked looking at the large creatures with his stroller parked next to the large tanks. It was a very fun outing but I had a 1 1/2 hour nap when I got home.

On Friday Anna's school had a Mother's Day Tea. The students served their mothers punch and cookies and sang us songs. Anna gave me a potted flower and a card and booklet with pictures she drew of me. During most of the tea Anna kept looking at her classmate Adam and kept saying, "He's so cute!" Oh well, I still felt loved.

Anna will not dress so creatively for school but she does for church, I guess she feels really, really comfortable there...
Speaking of which, one of her recent bedtime prayers was, "Pray Jesus... I wish Daddy would clean the garage, it's so messy..." Her prayers are currently being answered. :)
