Japan! Day 5, Part 1 : Tokyo to Ichinohe

The first three nights in Tokyo went by quickly, we had breakfast at Krispy Kreme once again and took a morning walk around our hotel area before packing up and getting ready for our travels to northern Honshu. We sent some of our suitcases ahead to our final hotel destination near Disneyland, just bringing the essentials we needed. This delivery service, "takkyubin", was very handy as many people do not travel with a lot of bulky luggage on the often crowded trains. Still, Steve had his hands full with a large roller and bag. We took a train to Tokyo station, had our fill on free wi-fi, bought box lunches and cute cookies, and boarded the comfortable sparkly green bullet train headed to the town where Steve and I met, Ichinohe.
