Japan! April 23 Part 1 - Rainy Day in Ginza

Two full days left in Japan, and rain was in the forecast until the evening. Still, it was nice to wake up in our more spacious room with the corner window. We didn't have to step outside to eat breakfast, there were several restaurants connecting from the Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu. We ate a tasty egg and spinach breakfast sandwich at Excelsior Cafe, the coffee was excellent too. With cameras in hand we took the subway to Ginza to check out some stores. We arrived around 10 a.m. but many shops did not open until 10:30 a.m. or later. So we watched the "opening ceremony" of one department store, you would have thought it was Black Friday, with the crowd of people waiting for the doors to open and the fanfare following it.  But no, it was a regular shopping day. Some shops had signs that said 'no photos allowed', I'm thinking pricing issues, design ideas... it was raining quite hard at one point that I purchased an umbrella. We spent the most time in Uniqlo, Muji, and Loft.
