Japan! April 22 Part 4 - Driving back to Tokyo
Mimichan and Maron drove us back to Tokyo while Kanchan extended her stay in Mashiko with Miyuki's family. Mimichan treated us to a sushi dinner that night in the Tokyu Department Store near our hotel. Look at the Japanese GPS, and the tight parking spot Mimichan got into! My mom had chirashi sushi, I ate a sushi set, and my uncle ordered many side dishes for us to share, including the bamboo shoots which were fresh in season. The fish head broth may look unappetizing but it was very good! Afterwards we went into our "new" hotel room, it's a long story but when we first checked in, there was a problem with the door lock and we were moved into a new room, but we really liked the view from the original room. It included the famous Shibuya Crossing, one of the busiest pedestrian intersections in the world. So while we were in Mashiko, the hotel accommodated our request and moved our luggage to a room with the original view. More photos to follow! Thank you for all the driving Mimichan, and the great meal!
