Seattle, Part 7/10: Monorail, Pike Place

Our schedule was open on Thursday, and we decided to revisit Pike Place Market, and hit the Seattle Aquarium and the main library. We took the monorail from the Space Needle to downtown. The monorail arrives runs every 10 minutes so we didn't have to wait too long.

Anna is getting handy with the Rebel camera!

We found seats facing one another, and Sam and Anna chose to ride "backwards".

What a coincidence, as we exited the monorail on 5th Avenue, what did we find but one of my favorite stores Anthropologie! A beautiful, spacious 3-story one, I might add.

We headed over to the marketplace, directly down Pike Place.

At this main entrance is where you find Rachel, the famous 550-pound bronze piggybank. Directly behind the bronze pig is the famous Pike Place Fish Market, where the fishmongers throw fish and put on a good show.

We went to Daily Dozen Doughnuts for a snack, and enjoyed them outside.
