Seattle, Part 3/10: Olympic Sculpture Park, Pan Pacific Hotel

Steve took this nice photo of us at Olympic Sculpture Park.

We meandered our way down to the lower level of the park, this weatherproof steel sculpture is titled "Wake", by Richard Serra. He wrote, "What's important is you moving between them, through them, and around them as they undulate; it's your body moving in relation to their surface that moves."

I think Richard Serra would like to see how we interacted with his art.

Sam enjoyed it as well.

We then headed over to the Pavilion.

Geoff McFetridge, a Los Angeles based artist, had an exhibit "In The Mind" on display.

We assumed this was a hands-on piece of art.

We headed over to our hotel in the late afternoon, when our room was ready. We booked the Pan-Pacific through hotels.com, another great resource for travel. The Whole Foods Market located downstairs from the hotel was a big draw for us.

I love this rainbow-colored painting in the hotel lobby!

Our room was plush and comfortable, the bathroom/tub area had sliding doors that opened up to the room.

Nice view of the bathroom, it would be nice to have these circular mirrors at home.

It was nice to relax after such a busy day. Sam played "Lilu" for a while, recognize "the cat's" big eyes?
