Japan! April 17 Part 1- Bus Ride from Takayama to Kyoto

On the morning of April 17th, Aunt Kanchan drove us to the station where we would board a bus that would take us to Kyoto. Kanchan, thank you so much for your hospitality, your home-cooked meals and all the great times! The overcast morning in Takayama gave way to sunny skies during the bus ride. The bus itself was very comfortable and it made a few stops along the way. The "rest stops" in Japan off the highways are very clean, many have shops where you can purchase hot food. I had the best curry pan of the trip at a rest stop. The time went by quickly and we arrived in Kyoto by lunchtime.
