Japan! April 16 Part 3 - Hida no Sato

My aunt joined us for a trip to Hida no Sato, an "open-air museum" which has several farmhouses and other buildings from the Hida region around Takayama. It feels like a small village, with many gassho-zukuri (thatched roof) houses, a water wheel, and circular rice field in a picturesque setting. Within the buildings, artisans make and sell crafts such as woven sandals and wooden charms. It is a beautiful place.
