Japan! Day 9, Part 5 : Mashiko Magic

Kinta and Steve wasted no time hamming it up before dinner. Miyuki had an elaborate spread of chicken, sausage, rice onigiri and various side dishes, really accommodating the kids' food tastes. Everything was delicious and beautifully arranged. The kids had "fun" with their food on the special ceramic plates. Later, we went searching for fireflies (hotaru), an activity we wanted to do but thought we'd be out of luck. Soichi was truly an expert in finding a lot of bugs for us. Later we winded down the evening with family game time. The next morning, Soichi and Hiyori got ready for school and were prompt for the bus pickup. We were able to get some photos taken before we said goodbye. Thank you for a memorable time in Mashiko!
